“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot, together we can make a difference” - Mother Teresa

Dear Sponsors and Supporters of The Integral Heart Foundation,

I hope this email finds you all well. It’s been a great year so far and I just wanted to send an update to let you know what’s on our horizon.

While most of you are now settling into the routine of fall and early winter, here, in Guatemala, the school year is coming to an end. Our school year runs from mid January to mid October. So the kids have finished exams and for some, graduation is in the next couple of weeks. During the break from school, some of our kids will have a challenging time because when they are in school they feel safe, they get at least one full meal, and it’s a break from the hardships going on at home and on the streets.

During this school break comes Christmas and we have a couple of plans for this season. For those kids and families who are sponsored by you, we plan to give them an extra food basket as well as some toys for the kids.

On Christmas Eve we also have a special plan to go to the village of Mano de Leon, where we have installed some solar units, and to take food, toys, blankets, and a whole lot of love to share with this isolated village! There are a couple of local restaurants in Antigua that have agreed to collaborate with us on this project. We are looking forward to sharing some love and happiness with this community.

After Christmas, it’s back to school. So with that we will be looking at buying some new uniforms, school supplies, and shoes for those sponsored kids who are in school or might be heading to school or third level education for the first time.

If you would like to help with any of these foreseeable needs that we have, the kids and we would greatly appreciate it! Please feel free to share this with your friends and family as well.

On behalf of the Integral Heart team, I thank you so much for the investment you are currently making in our collective future! I feel extremely fortunate to be able to be in Guatemala and be the hands and feet on your behalf.

Liz on behalf of the IHF team.
